2015 New Year
Greetings! Thanks so much for visiting my site.
For those new to my work, I write books with an eye toward turbulence and murder, including the Shamus Award-winning Frank Pavlicek private eye novels. The sixth book in the Pavlicek series, The K Street Hunting Society, is now out in both paperback and ebook. Look for the next full-length Pavlicek novel, Talon Dancer, in Spring 2016.
Coming in 2015 will be the long-awaited next installment in the Dragonflies series, as well as a couple of other surprises I’m not yet at liberty to discuss. Here’s an update on my latest schedule of appearances.

Praise for the novels of Andy Straka:
“A breath of fresh air in the field of private eye fiction.” — Jeffery Deaver
“A talented author.” – Publishers Weekly
“Highly recommended. I dare you to tell me I’m wrong.” — Michael Connelly
“Characters you feel in your bones.” — Julia Spencer-Fleming
“A first rate-thriller.” — Mystery Scene
“A book this good, and this original, helps remind me why I started reading mysteries in the first place.” — Steve Hamilton
“…Dragonflies nails the sweet spot where science fiction meets thriller. The technology seems all too real and the story all too plausible…”
“I found myself drawn to Dragonflies for a few different reasons; the engaging mix of genres (Sci-Fi, Mystery, Thriller), the protagonist (a confident and strong female), and because a long time ago I wanted to be a helicopter pilot. So this title allowed me to escape into a world that I have always been interested in, while mixing in mysterious government projects, crime, conspiracy, and perhaps a hint of a future romance….with a skillfully crafted plotline, suspenseful build-up and a climatic cliffhanger you can guarantee I’ll be impatiently waiting to read the second in the series.”

“If he keeps producing books like Record Of Wrongs he will be on top sooner rather than later. He is that food.” – I Love A Mystery Reviews
